How It Works

Four steps, and you never leave home

Nothing happens behind a curtain or in a back room. Every part of it takes place on your table, in front of you.

01

Call, text or book online

Tell us roughly what you have and where you are. Takes a minute — no photos or paperwork needed.

02

We come to you

Your home, your office, or your bank's lobby if you'd rather meet somewhere neutral. You pick the place.

03

Tested on your table

We test the karat or fineness and weigh every piece on a certified scale in front of you, and show you the math against the live spot price.

04

Paid on the spot

Accept the offer and you're paid before we leave. Decline it and we go — no fee, no pressure, no follow-up calls.

What is my gold worth?

Enter the weight and karat and we’ll show you the value of the pure metal inside it at today’s live price.

Enter a weight to see an estimate

This is the metal value, not an offer. What we pay is a percentage of it, quoted in person once we have tested and weighed the piece. Scale weights include stones and clasps, and stamps are not always accurate — which is exactly why we test in front of you.

What We Buy

Gold and sterling silver, in any condition

Tangled, broken, tarnished, missing a stone, a single earring with no partner — condition does not change what the metal inside is worth.

Chains & Necklaces

Cuban links, ropes, herringbone, figaro — knotted or snapped is completely fine.

Rings & Bands

Wedding bands, engagement rings, signet and class rings, including pieces with stones still set.

Bracelets & Earrings

Bangles, tennis bracelets, hoops and studs. Odd earrings are worth showing us.

Broken & Scrap Gold

Clasps, single links, bent settings, mystery pieces from the bottom of the drawer.

Dental Gold

Crowns, bridges and gold caps. No need to clean or separate them first.

Sterling Flatware

Full canteens or a single orphaned fork. Tarnish makes no difference — don't polish it first.

Sterling Holloware

Trays, bowls, tea sets, candlesticks. Weighted bases are filled, so we weigh those separately and show you.

Silver Coins & Bullion

Pre-1965 US dimes, quarters and halves, plus rounds and bars. Collectible dates valued above melt.

Estate & Inherited Lots

Whole jewelry boxes and mixed estates, sorted into gold, silver and neither, piece by piece at your table.

We test it free

We do not buy gold-plated, gold-filled, silver-plate or EPNS — the metal layer is too thin to have melt value. We will still test anything for free while we are there and tell you honestly what you have.

Why Nyce Gold

A fair number, explained at your table

Most people selling gold or silver have never done it before. That information gap is exactly where this industry tends to take advantage. We would rather show our work — and do it somewhere you feel in control.

  • You never leave the house

No driving across town with valuables in the car, no sitting in a pawn shop waiting your turn. We handle the travel.

  • You see who is coming

We confirm the appraiser's name before the visit and show photo ID at the door. Meet in your bank's lobby if you'd feel better for it.

  • Weighed where you can see it

Certified scale on your own table, display facing you. You see the karat test and the gram weight at the same moment we do.

  • Discreet and private

Unmarked arrival and no signage. Estate pieces are often sold under difficult circumstances, and we handle that quietly.

Questions

Before we come out

Do you really come to me? Is there a charge for that?

Yes, and no. We are a mobile-only buyer — travelling to you is the whole service, not an add-on. There is no call-out fee, no charge for the appraisal, and no obligation to sell once we have given you a number.

Where can we meet?

Wherever you are comfortable: your home, your office, a relative's house, or a public place. A lot of clients prefer their bank's lobby — there are cameras, staff, and a safe deposit box a few steps away if they decide not to sell. We are happy to meet there.

How do I know it is safe to have someone come to my home?

You will know the appraiser's name before the visit and they will show photo ID at the door. We arrive in an unmarked vehicle with no signage, so nobody on your street knows why we are there. If you would still rather not have a stranger at home, meet us at your bank instead — that is a completely normal request and we suggest it often.

How do you work out what my gold or silver is worth?

Three things: purity, weight and the market. For gold we test the karat (10K is 41.7% gold, 14K is 58.3%, 18K is 75%); for silver it is the fineness stamp (sterling is .925, coin silver .900). Then we weigh the piece and price the pure metal content against the spot price shown live on this site. Our margin comes out of the difference — and we show you that calculation on the table before you decide anything.

Is the estimate on this site what I will be paid?

No, and we would rather be straight about that. The calculator shows the value of the pure gold inside your piece at today's spot price. What any buyer actually pays is a percentage of that figure — the difference covers refining and the cost of doing business. It is a useful sanity check on the ballpark, not a quote.

What do I need to have ready?

Your gold and a valid government-issued photo ID. Florida law requires precious metals dealers to record identification for every purchase. Original boxes, receipts or appraisal papers are helpful for branded pieces but are not required.

Do you buy gold-plated items or silver plate?

No — on plated, gold-filled and silver-plate pieces the precious metal layer is microns thick and has no meaningful melt value. Sterling is stamped .925, STERLING or STER; plate is usually marked EPNS, A1, or nothing at all. It is the single most common disappointment in this trade, so we test anything you show us free of charge and tell you straight what you have.

Should I polish my silver first?

Please don't. Tarnish is a surface reaction and weighs nothing — it makes no difference to what we pay. Polishing costs you an afternoon, and on antique or collectible pieces it can actively reduce value.

Do you buy weighted sterling, like candlesticks?

Yes, but with the maths done openly. Weighted pieces have a sterling shell over a cement or pitch filler, so the scale weight is not the silver weight. We separate and weigh the actual silver in front of you rather than quoting off the gross weight — a piece that weighs 800 grams might hold 150 grams of silver.

How will I be paid?

On the spot, before we leave. Payment methods and any limits are confirmed when we make the offer, so there are no surprises at your kitchen table.
